CSA

Ladybird Farm is excited to announce the official start to the 2025 CSA season! We are excited for the upcoming growing season and the garden’s bounty!

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is an important tool for farmers to be able to secure the funds they need to operate. Joining a CSA also offers customers a unique way to experience purchasing and consuming fresh food from a local farmer.

The Season…

The 2025 CSA season will be 21-weeks long and go from the middle of May through mid-October, with a week off during the summer. We plan to participate in the local Crozet Farmers’ Market this year and have decided CSA pick-up will be at the market. The market will take place on Saturday Mornings between 8am-12pm. The style of CSA will be “make your own” as if you were shopping at the grocery store.

Interested in picking up at the farm? Pick-up will also be available at Ladybird Farm. Tentatively this is being scheduled for Saturday afternoons between 2-4pm. If interested in picking up at the farm be sure to specify farm pick-up when signing up.

We are considering making CSA delivery an option for members living in the local Crozet area, depending on demand. If you are interested in joining the CSA but are unsure if the Saturday pick up will work for you, email the farm about the delivery option. There will be a fee associated with this service.

2025 CSA Pricing

Full Share, $575: This option is great for those who want to join a CSA but have more choice in what they get. Build your own CSA share with 7 items from what is available. Good option for a family or avid vegetable consumers!

Half Share, $335: This option is great for smaller families, individuals, or those looking to supplement their own garden production. Pick 4.

To show our appreciation for our CSA members, periodically we will have free items available to our customers like flowers, tomatoes, benefits of a bumper crop, and first choice in crop options to express our gratitude for your support.

Just one more thing…

In farming, there are lots of variables that must be endured. We do our best to grow a wide variety of vegetables, providing the right growing conditions and creating the proper environment to reduce pest pressure, but sometimes things just don’t work out and a crop might not be available. Joining a CSA is a great way to support local farms and experience seasonal food but is a season long commitment and refunds are not available.
